Every artist was first an amateur

One day, when I was twelve years old I was given my first set of Derwent pencils as a birthday present and a sketch pad. I was scared to touch them, so I continued drawing with only grey led pencils for another six months before I gained the courage to try - now I proudly call myself an experimental artist.
